Robert K. Merton: Sociology of Science and Sociology as Science

Robert K. Merton: Sociology of Science and Sociology as ScienceColumbia University Press and the SSRC have released Robert K. Merton: Sociology of Science and Sociology as Science, edited by SSRC President Craig Calhoun. Gathering together twelve major sociologists, Calhoun launches a thorough reconsideration of Merton's achievements and inspires a renewed engagement with sociological theory.


SSRC-IDRF Fellow Ryan Alaniz examines rebuilding efforts after Hurricane Mitch and possible lessons for post-earthquake Haiti in a new From the Field essay, "Thank God for Mitch," featured on Real Time.
